Converting JPG image files into DirectDraw Surface files (DDS) couldn’t be simpler with Easy2Convert JPG to DDS. This apparently simple tool offers you a wide range of settings and options that will let you customize the output according to your requirements and preferences. You can rotate, resize, or flip your images, and even add frames and watermarks to them during the conversion process.
This free tool has its limitations, though. It will let you convert one JPG file at a time only. For batch conversion, you are advised to acquire Easy2Convert JPG to IMAGE, a commercial and more powerful version of this and various other conversion tools from Easy2Convert Software.
Despite its minimal interface, this image conversion tool is full of settings, adjustments, and other options that will help you to enhance your JPG and, therefore, the resulting DDS file. These include the possibility of defining the bits per pixel; of rotating, resizing, and flipping the original image; of adjusting the brightness, contrast, and gamma values; of inverting the image or making it greyscale, and of adding a frame and a text or image watermark to it. Unfortunately, the program doesn’t include a preview window, which might turn your quest for the perfect DDS file a bit of a trial-and-error process.
These limitations make this tool more suitable for the occasional user, though being a free tool is hard not to recommend it.
